Activities in 2005
 
CPF Charity Sale
 
On the 21 December 2005, staff of CPF Board contributed some of their favourite items to be sold in a CPF Charity Sale, where the proceeds were donated to charity. There were lots of fun as well as bargain hunting for many staff. More importantly, because of the generosity of the staff, the sale proceeds collected will help to bring greater cheer to the needy during this festive season.
 
 
Home Visit to the Society of the Aged Sick in December 2005
 
A contingent of 70 CPF Ambassadors descended upon our Adopted Home, with nightingales and santarinas in tow, for a Year-End Party on 1 Dec 2005. The showers of care and attention on the old folks brought them much cheer and joy which lingered even as the event came to an end.
 
 
Home Visit to the Society of the Aged Sick in September 2005
 
In conjunction with the mooncake festival in September, the Customer Relations Division brought the festive celebration to our elderly at the Society for the Aged Sick. Sharing folk-songs and mooncakes with the residents, the staff made the event a heart-warming and memorable occasion to all present.

Blood Donation Drive @ CPF Board
 
1st Sept 2005, marked a day of tribute for teachers. In CPF Board, this day marked a day of “Saving Lives”! A total of 114 CPF volunteers, with the sole purpose of helping others and saving lives, donated blood to the Red Cross Society. Although there was initial apprehension for some, this nervousness was soon overcome with our volunteers’ compassion and generosity.

Project Municipal Recycling and Community Interaction with SAGE
 
On the 12 June 2005, 6 CPF staff, together with SAGE (Singapore Action Group of Elders) volunteers and Chung Cheng High students rendered their voluntary service to help SAGE on a recycling-cum-fund raising event to increase the awareness for elderly activities organized by SAGE.

Home Visit to the Society of the Aged Sick in June 2005
In June 2005, the Collections and Recovery Division of CPF, organised the quarterly visit to the Society for the Aged Sick. The event was a ‘star-studded’ event with over 60 CPF ambassadors supporting and interacting with the residents.

Home Visit to the Society of the Aged Sick in February 2005
 
In February this year, CPF staff celebrated the Chinese New Year with the residents of Society of the Aged Sick, bringing them the festive cheer and celebrations with a lion dance and performances. It had been a meaningful occasion to the staff and residents!
