    120,000 THANK-YOUs

We want to thank the more than 120,000 CPF members who have taken the time to give us your compliments, feedback and suggestions in the past one year. In particular, the compliments we received from 105,000 members on our good service rendered spur us to improve further.

We also want to thank all CPF members who responded to our recent Member Services Survey where 96% of you said you were very satisfied/satisfied with our overall service.

Your encouragement and feedback will certainly help us in our efforts to serve you even better.

We Have Acted On Your Feedback

Your feedback tells us where we can improve and how our schemes and services can better cater to your needs. While we may not implement every suggestion we receive, we value your views and will act on them where we can.

You may not realise it, but your feedback do make a difference for fellow CPF members.

Here are some examples where your views have made a difference.

"Can I apply to use my CPF savings for the various schemes online?" Most of the applications are now online. Members can perform 55 online transactions to meet their retirement, housing and healthcare needs.

"It is really convenient that I can apply for a new SingPass via the CPF website. This saves me the trouble of travelling to CPF offices."

    - 29-year-old Scientist Miss Kuan Soo Yan

"Why do I need a witness when I apply to withdraw my CPF savings at age 55?" Since 1 June 2004, members no longer need a witness when they apply to withdraw their CPF. This will save members the hassle of looking for a witness.
"The Board should organise roadshows to educate members on the CPF schemes and services, and retirement planning."

Yes, we will organise more roadshows. We are pleased to note that many of our members turned up at our last road show held at the HDB Hub on 25 June 2004.

"I have a clearer understanding on the CPF Minimum Sum after attending the CPF Roadshow."

    - Admin Executive, Mr Lim Ah Leng who will turn age 55 next year

"Why not provide information on the amount of CPF that can be used for housing to help members plan their finances before they commit to a property?" We have made the information available on our website. In addition, we launched the CPF Housing Site in June this year to help members make better home buying decisions. Various mortgage calculators are also available at the CPF Housing Site to enable members calculate the maximum loan which they can afford, the interest they need to pay, and their monthly instalment for the desired loan amount.
"I have no time to go down to the Board to pick up the application forms for using CPF to repay housing loans from banks. Why aren't they found at the website?" We have made the application forms available at our website since April 2004.

Turning 55? You can now apply to withdraw your CPF online.

Say goodbye to paperwork. If you are turning 55 and are eligible to withdraw your CPF monies, apply online at www.cpf.gov.sg. All you need is your SingPass. You don't need to come down to our offices, nor go to the bank to get your bank account number endorsed. This e-Withdrawal service is currently available to POSBank account holders.

Rest assured that controls are in place to ensure the authenticity of your online application. Your identity will be verified through SingPass.
