CPF BOARD UPGRADES ITS COMPUTER SYSTEM
News Release by:
Central Provident Fund Board
31 July 2009 --

The CPF Board will be carrying out an upgrade of its computer system in August and September to better meet its current and future operational needs.  To facilitate this upgrade, we will be shutting down the Board’s computer system during the following periods:

National Day weekend:
From Saturday, 8 August 09, 5am to Tuesday, 11 August 09, 5am

and

Hari Raya Puasa weekend:
From Saturday, 19 September 09, 5am to Tuesday, 22 September 09, 5am

During these periods, most of the Board’s online services will be temporarily unavailable.  CPF services on AXS, mPAL and checking of CPF information at organisations with CPF linkup services, such as HDB offices and government hospitals will also not be available.

Members can, however, continue to perform the following transactions via the CPF website or CPF Service Centres:

• Check account balances
• Check transaction status
• Submit CPF contributions (for employers)

Members who wish to submit hard copy applications during these periods can continue to do so by downloading the forms on the CPF website.  They may also make use of My e-Concierge upon logging on to specify their requests online.

Information on CPF including FAQs on CPF schemes and services and CPF calculators will continue to be available on our website.

The Board regrets the inconvenience to our members caused by the temporary suspension of our online services in August and September.

We seek members’ understanding that the suspension and upgrade during these periods are necessary for our systems to remain responsive and efficient in the long run.
