Continuing employment beyond 55

Should you wish to remain in the workforce after age 55, you will still need to contribute to CPF, but at a lower rate. Although older workers receive less in terms of CPF contribution, the lower CPF contribution rate helps to make them more employable. Click here to see the contribution rate applicable to your age group.

You will need to continue contributing to your Ordinary and Medisave Accounts. If you have reached the Medisave Contribution Ceiling, your Medisave contributions will be transferred to your Retirement Account if you do not meet the CPF Minimum Sum. If you have set aside the full CPF Minimum Sum, your excess CPF contribution will be transferred from your Medisave Account to your Ordinary Account.

If you still have outstanding housing loan, you can continue to use your available savings in the Ordinary Account for your housing instalment payments.

See the CPF contribution rates applicable to your age group and calculate your CPF contribution.
