The Number Of Children You Choose To Have

How many children you wish to have depends on the time and energy you can give to your children. If you are a working parent, you need to consider how you are going to balance your career and family.

Generally, it is true to say that the more children you have, the more you need to spread your resources. You should consider your comfort level, your financial resources, your ability to give each child your time and attention.

To support parents’ decision to have more children, the Baby Bonus Scheme was first introduced in April 2001 to help lighten the financial costs of raising children. The scheme is now extended to benefit the first and fourth child born on or after 1 August 2004.
