- Making An Investment
...Having Peace Of Mind

How do I start?

Start by checking your CPF account here.

Do you have any financial obligations, e.g. monthly housing payment that require outflow from your CPF Account? You should take that into consideration and ensure that you set aside enough to meet your other financial obligations that require payment from your CPF account.

If you are using your money from your CPF Ordinary Account (OA), you should open a CPF Investment Account with any one of the three CPFIS agent banks:
  • DBS Bank Ltd (DBS)
  • Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Ltd (OCBC)
  • United Overseas Bank Ltd (UOB)
There is no need for you to open a CPF Investment Account if you are using money from your Special Account (SA).

Making An Investment

Are there any criteria I need to fulfil before I can use my CPF savings for investment?
How much can I take out from my CPF for investment and what can I invest in?
Do I have to incur any charges for CPFIS?
When can my investments be sold?
What do I need to do when I want to sell my investments?
What happens when I make profits? What happens when I make losses?
Do I need to pay taxes on profits made from my investments?
When can I withdraw my investments? What do I need to do?

What happens if I divorce?

What happens if I become a bankrupt?
Should I invest or should I not?
When I am no longer around
Moving forward
