What if I continue working after 55?


If you continue working after 55, you will still need to contribute to CPF, but at a lower rate. Although older workers receive less in terms of CPF contribution, the lower CPF contribution rate helps to make them more employable.

You will need to continue contributing to your Ordinary and Medisave Accounts. If you have reached the Medisave Contribution Ceiling, your Medisave contributions will be transferred to your Ordinary Account. If you still have an outstanding housing loan, you can continue to use your available Ordinary Account savings for your housing instalment payments.
