CPF LIFE is a scheme that will provide lifelong income for our elderly in their retirement. It is an improvement over the current Minimum Sum Scheme (MSS) where payouts only last about 20 years.

You can sign up for CPF LIFE if you are between 55 and 80 years old with savings in your Retirement Account. There are currently 4 plans under CPF LIFE – the LIFE Plus, LIFE Balanced, LIFE Basic and LIFE Income Plans.

If you are born before 1958, you may choose to sign up for CPF LIFE now. We suggest, though, that you consider making a decision only after the details of the two new plans are released in September 2012. For a quick overview of what CPF LIFE is, read this brochure. How to join CPF LIFE?

If you wish to sign up for any of the existing CPF LIFE plans, you can do so by submitting an online application via my cpf Online Services (under My Requests) using your SingPass.
