CPF Contribution and Allocation Rates

On 1 January 2005, the CPF salary ceiling for the workers in the private sector was lowered from $5,500 to $5,000. At the same time, CPF employer and employee contribution rates for older workers aged 50 – 55 was also reduced from 33% to 30%.The CPF salary ceilings and contribution rates for older workers aged 50 – 55 for officers in the public sector were reduced proportionately as well.

The information below applies to employees with monthly wages above $750.

For details on how CPF is paid on wages below $750 for the workers in the private sector, please refer to the CPF Contribution Rate Booklets.

(1) Maximum contribution for the private sector is calculated based on a salary ceiling of $5,000.00 for both the employer and the employee.

(2) Maximum contribution for Non-Pensionable Employees in Government Ministries and Statutory Bodies & Aided Schools are calculated based on a salary ceiling of $5,000.00 for both the employer and the employee.

(3) Maximum contribution for Pensionable Employees in Government Ministries and Statutory Bodies & Aided Schools groups are calculated based on a salary ceiling of $6,666.67 for both the employer and the employee.
